Cyber Fest in Hong Kah Secondary School

On 28 February, Hong Kah Secondary School held its inaugural Cyber Fest at the Student Activity and Research Centre (STAR Centre). The STAR Centre is also the school’s designated E-Wellness Zone. In December 2011, the school commissioned the design of a wall art and eight table laminates with cyber wellness messages.

Know your Limit by Temasek Polytechnic

Our project, ‘KNOW YOUR LIMIT’ main aim is to educated Temasek polytechnic students to know the long and short term consequences of binge drinking. This event also ties the relationship with Health Promotion Board “DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE” campaign.

Throughout the project, our aim is to increase the awareness of binge drinking among youth in Temasek Polytechnic, as youth nowadays come into contact with drinking due to a more open society. Not only youth start drinking at a early age they are also unaware of the health consequence of binge drinking.

We <3 Smoking NOT by Temasek Polytechnic

A smoking intervention programme, ‘ We <3 Smoking NOT’ programme was implemented on the 2nd of February at Temasek Polytechnic. This programe was to encourage students who smoke to reduce the amount of cigarettes they smoke per day. In addition, they would be aware of the available intervention programmes  in Singapore.

H&W Project by Temasek Polytechnic

On the 19^th January 2012, my group and I were involved to organize a program as part of promoting and creating awareness of physical activity amongst the secondary 1 students of East Spring Secondary School. Initially, it was difficult to keep to our objectives as we had to work with another external party to engage in the targeted audience.

Know about AIDS

On the 3^rd of February 2012, a program implementation was conducted on the ground of Temasek Polytechnic to increase the awareness on STI and AIDS among students.

The knowledge of the students was tested through questionnaires; pre- and post-evaluation on STI and AIDS. The students get to know more about STI and AIDS through games such as; Human Snake and Ladder and Dart Ball games.
